Description A classic trio of British colonial khaki headgear from the Boer War and early 1900s tropical campaigns — the Khaki Field Service Cap, Bush/Slouch Hat, and Tropical Service Cap. Each is crafted from regulation khaki drill , suited to the demands of hot, arid, and tropical climates. The Field Service Cap (FS Cap) was the standard soft side cap, compact and easy to stow. The Slouch Hat, with its wide brim and ventilation grommets, offered superior sun protection and was often worn pinned up on one side. The Tropical Service Cap (or peaked cap) provided a smarter option for officers and parade wear in overseas postings.
