Boer War / Early LRDG Officer’s Desert Patrol Boots & Puttees Set – Khaki Suede Field Combination
$50.42
$64.03
Description This set combines authentic Boer War–period desert patrol boots with matching khaki wool puttees, as later seen in early desert operations such as the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG). The boots are made from natural khaki-tan suede leather, cut ankle-high with reinforced quarters and stitched crepe soles for excellent traction and ventilation. Featuring a five-eyelet lace system, they were favored for tropical and arid service where flexibility and breathability were essential. The puttees are made from fine woven khaki wool, designed to be wound from ankle to knee for leg support and protection against sand, brush, and sun exposure. Together, this combination forms the ideal field footwear for officers on desert patrol duty — durable, lightweight, and historically faithful. FEATURES Material (Boots): 100% suede leather, khaki-tan shade. Sole: Natural crepe stitched leather hybrid sole. Lacing: 5-eyelet front with cotton laces. Material (Puttees): Khaki wool serge with cotton ties. Height: Approx. 6 inches above ankle. Origin: Late Victorian colonial pattern / adapted for desert field wear.
