This is an authentic WW2 Nazi Germany Dress Bayonet w/Scabbard complete w/its original dress-pattern black leather frog. They were typically worn with the dress uniform for formal events such as parades, rallies, or other formal occasions. Made by the E&F Horster Company. Typically private-purchase items (not German Military issue items) AND that soldiers could order w/customized special features however, most soldiers couldn't afford the cost of special order features so the overwhelming majority of them were sold of standard design. Description: Blade is a bright nickel/silver-plated steel blade & 9 7/8" long. Handle grip has a repeating grooved diamond pattern. The hilt consists of a nickel/silver plated steel cross guard, eagle head pommel, & a molded black Bakelite handle grip w/cross guard. The diamond grooved Bakelite grip is held together by two domed head rivets. Scabbard is magnetic sheet metal w/standard age wear & contains the original leather belt loop accessory.
