The Canadian army tents were same as British army tents differing in the aspects given below: Same in design and dimensions to British tents, but differing in type & weight of duck cotton canvas used, color , water proofing methods and pest resistant’. Canadian fabric was heavier Flax and duck cotton – duck cotton being 12 oz instead of the British 10 oz to account for colder Canadian climate. Functionally and dimensionally the same as British tents down the ages – please refer to the Reproduction British tent products on this page. Color of Canadian tents was Brownish khaki rather than the British shades of greenish Khaki. During WW2 Canadian duck canvas became even heavier, ranging from 12-14 oz weight. Prices for British and Canadian tents remain the same though Canadian tents will be made as per Canadian fabric weight, color, water proofing techniques and rot resistance norms. All tents come with precise pitching instructions, number of persons required for assembling & disassembling and repacking, transportation requirements are provided for each tent, canvas carry bags/crates depending on size of tent are provided as packing and repacking.
