Description The WWII U.S. Army Barrack Bag, officially designated the Bag, Barrack, was the standard personal equipment bag issued to all U.S. Army personnel for carrying clothing, personal effects, and small kit items. Constructed from heavy-duty olive drab cotton canvas, it was designed for durability and ease of identification during transport and storage. The bag features a drawstring closure at the top, reinforced seams, and a stenciled “U.S.” marking on the front. Many were personalized by soldiers with names, serial numbers, or unit markings. Measuring approximately 22 inches wide by 32 inches tall (56 × 81 cm), the barrack bag was large enough to hold uniforms, underclothing, and footwear, and often served as a multipurpose gear sack in barracks, aboard transport ships, or in field camps. These bags were issued throughout the war in OD #3 khaki, OD #7 olive drab, and occasionally natural cotton canvas, depending on production contracts. All 3 versions are available and manufactured by us.
