Replica WW1 Italian Army Officer’s Tunic (Giubba da Ufficiale)

Description Our WW1 Italian Officer’s Tunic replica of the First World War is a refined version of the enlisted man’s giubba da truppa, tailored from higher-quality grigioverde wool. Officers uniforms were normally privately tailored with subtle design difference, we have tried to maintain a common ground. The tunic is single single-breasted with  six buttons,  a stand-and-fall collar with branch-colored fiamme di colletto patches edged in metallic braid (gold or silver depending on rank). It is lined with finer stitching, and neater finish than enlisted versions. Four patch pockets with scalloped flaps are present with decorative buttoning. Worn with High boots and Sam Browne Belt with holster.  Officer breeches are offered for sale on this page. We offer Officer Collar Patches (Fiamme di Colletto) to be installed on each tunic along with correct braid and unit numbers embroidered at no extra charge. Base Color: Branch-colored cloth (varied by arm of service) – please see a list of each arm of service below. Edging: For officers, patches were trimmed in metallic braid : Gold – for most line officers (Infantry, Artillery, Bersaglieri, Alpini, etc.) Silver – sometimes used for medical, technical, or administrative officers. Numbers / Symbols: Regimental numbers or specific insignia are embroidered in contrasting colors (usually red, green, white, or yellow, depending on branch).
