The 1884-6 dated variety of the Khedive’s Star was awarded by the Khedivate of Egypt to those who served from 26th March 1884 to 7th October 1886. This period of service would include the Nile Expedition sent to relieve General Gordon who was under siege in Khartoum and for the 1885 Operations near Suakin.
