Bacchus BLC-140 Black 1994

$23.3 $44.5
Bacchus BLC-140 LP Custom style, gloss black, made in Japan circa 1991. Bacchus guitars enjoy a cult following, they’re built to an incredible standard completely by hand by a small team in Japan. This is a pretty early example, and you’ll pretty quickly understand what all the fuss is about when it’s in your hands. The tone on deck is incredible: it’s got that signature LP Custom thick low end, but there’s a depth and complexity through the midrange that lesser guitars, even those expensive ones from USA, seldom achieve. It cleans up nicely and has that certain gooey quality that keeps your chords stuck together just right, but it also handles mammoth doses of gain while maintaining a clarity of voice and expressivity that’s really quite something. The neck is a moderate ’59 style profile, it’s reassuring and solid in the hands and really feels like it’s been built with care. The fret and finish work are outstanding and the hardware is solid, this really emanates class. The finish is showing a bit of wear around the edges, as you’d expect from thirty-year-old nitro, but that only adds to the charm really. This is a very, very good guitar, it’s going to make someone very happy indeed.
