Description This is a very rare and interesting variation of the 1788 British heavy cavalry sword. Regulation length of 40 inches with a 34 inch double fullered spear point blade. The full basket is made from iron with a coned pommel and original liner. Original wire bound shagreen grip. Minor damage to the basket and the blade has been cleaned. The base of the basket still shows the outline of a crown.
