Miniature spheres only 100mm in diameter, the Alcyone 2 satellites feature all the acoustical qualities of any Cabasse system: efficiency, power handling, transparency and stability of the sound stage. The Alcyone 2 satellite is fitted with a wide bandwidth high-efficiency driver designed in the Cabasse Acoustic Centre in France especially for the small spherical Alcyone enclosure. Alcyone 2 satellites can either be placed on a shelf, mounted on the wall, or fixed atop the optional stands. The magnetic base can be used for shelf or wall mounting so the speaker can be easily oriented in any direction for ultimate flexibility. The Alcyone 2 5.1 system consists of one Santorin 17M2 sub-woofer (7’’woofer and 100 W amplifier), 5 satellites ready for bookshelf or on-wall use, and a complete set of interconnect cables.
