Description Fabric: Heavy pike-grey (hechtgrau) wool broadcloth, dyed to regulation shade. Cut: Tailored officer-quality construction with shaped body and tapered sleeves. Front: Six Austrian officer silver buttons with the double-headed eagle emblem. Collar: High standing collar in darker grey with white piping and rank stars. Shoulder boards: Braided officer cords fixed with small metal buttons. Pockets: Two pleated upper pockets with scalloped flaps; two lower skirt pockets with pointed flaps. Cuffs: Dark grey Swedish cuffs with two silver buttons each. Back: Fitted officer cut with rear vents, suitable for mounted duties. Lining: Full cotton or sateen interior lining, optional silk for higher ranks. Finishing: Reinforced stitching, hand-finished buttonholes, correct Austrian button pattern. Comes with trousers. Officers wore matching pike-grey riding breeches or straight trousers, usually with narrow red or branch-colored piping. They were made of fine wool and designed for use with riding boots or ankle boots depending on the officer’s role.
