With 3 new designs, you can further modify the performance of a Yamaha bari sax (including the 62 & 62II) using one of their custom neck options. The most sought after are the various models of Yamaha Solid Silver Bari Sax Neck. Yamaha Solid Silver Bari Sax Neck Made from Solid Sterling Silver (92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper), a Yamaha solid silver bari sax neck will produce a more resonant instrument that will have more tonal presence and versatility. This effectively amplifies whatever is put in to the horn by the player and mouthpiece. So mouthpieces that are dark by nature will be darker, richer & bigger when paired with the Yamaha Solid Silver Bari neck. Mouthpieces that are brighter will be edgier, more brilliant and more powerful when paired with the Yamaha Solid Silver Bari neck. Special Care is Needed!!! Solid Sterling Silver has great performance benefits, but also has a big weakness. Silver is softer than brass and thus can be bent easier. Additionally, Yamaha has designed the Custom Series Bari Sax Necks without a brace on the underside of the neck in order to improve response. This means that you MUST take additional care to prevent bending your new neck!! Models Yamaha offers 3 designs in their Custom Series necks: V1 Solid Silver – Custom V1 saxophone neck offers the largest bore the Yamaha line has to offer. This neck is free blowing and extremely flexible, providing the player access to a more extreme dynamic range and a wider palette of tonal expression. E1 Solid Silver – Custom E1 neck has a more gradual bore taper which offers excellent control of the air flow for a quick response and superb intonation. This versatile neck also features increased flexibility for the player who wants a bit more freedom to find their sound. C1 Solid Silver – Custom C1 neck has the smallest bore taper of all Yamaha Custom saxophone necks. This particular bore design provides the player with the greatest possible control for a quick response, excellent intonation and a focused tone. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the neck is returned in proper condition). Can I Try Multiple Models At Once? Seeing that the Custom Series necks for bari are a new product line, we understand that some players might want to try all 3 designs. While this can be done, please note that there would be a 5% restocking fee for each of the necks returned if you are trying multiple necks. This is to accomodate the additional cleaning/sterilization needed as well as the additional credit card processing fees that we incur but are not refunded when we refund your money.
